Ghadiri group attends FORGE 2025
With support from the Particle Technology activities at the University of Leeds, the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Particle Characterisation Special Interest Group convened the FORGE 2024 conference at the University of Leeds’s Cloth Hall site in November 2024. The conference brought together professionals from both industry and academia.
FORGE 2024 showcased a diverse range of topics, including an overview of current standards in particle characterization, in-depth discussions on widely used characterization techniques by industry and academic experts, and forward-looking talks on emerging themes such as nature-inspired engineering, 3D-printed pharmaceuticals, and the application of machine learning.
Professor Ghadiri participated as an invited plenary speaker, while other attendees from SCaPE contributed oral presentations. Notably, Saba Saifoori won the prize for the best PhD student presentation. The conference also hosted a technicians networking session, where Ben Douglas and other technical staff from the University were able to meet technicians from other institutions working in this field.
