Biography

Dr. Koichiro Ogata is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Oita College, Japan. He received his PhD degree in 2001 from the Kyushu Institute of Technology (KIT). He was a research fellow until 2003 at the KIT and worked until 2012 at the NIT, Oshima College. He spent at the University of Leeds in 2017 as a visiting researcher into research group of Prof. Mojtaba Ghadiri. His research interests are Powder flow and Multiphase Flow in Industrial processing. He is currently focusing on the study of dry powder handling such as evaluation of flowability, floodability and cohesiveness of powder, spraying of dispersed cohesive powder, heating characteristics of waste gypsum and dense phase pneumatic conveying of powder.
