Abstract

With the support of a multidisciplinary research team funded by the UK Research Council and working with industry, this project involves innovative research into coating techniques based on particle aerosol deposition. The project bridges engineering, manufacturing and materials science disciplines. In collaboration with industrial partners this project helps develop improved cold consolidation manufacturing routes for electroceramic thick films with the aim of demonstrating properties outperforming those made using conventional techniques. The product electronic devices have applications in emerging renewable energy and power electronics sectors.
